I wasn't really thinking of getting into apologetics against Hindus, but the author obviously feels it important.

You never know. I had a guy come up to me at a shopping mall and hand me a copy of some Hindu scripture. "It's really old." I was so taken aback, I forgot my favorite line, "Is it true that there's no such thing as 'true and false'?" Oh well, better luck next time...
