In post #3 - the terms "mankind" and "womankind" are referring to homosexuality. That's probably as close as you're ever gonna get to "gay", or "lesbian" in a 200 year old book.
30 years ago, gay meant "happy", if I recall.
If she can't accept that fact, she doesn't even want to be convinced. You're probably wasting your time.
