No he did not consider himself a Calvinist. He lost Topladies sponsorship over his doctrine and split with the calvinist Whitfield. and later he sabotaged him
Wesley was well aware he was an arminian with a new doctrinal add on

Mortgage....sigh. Refinanced at 4.5 for 15 years about 2-3 months ago. Higher payment, shorter term....but...sigh.
We need to build a new church facility. We're outgrowing the old which is also dilapidated. More mortgage woes -- we need to start with about 10000 sq ft. Conventional business loans are starting at about 7% right now.

I'm going to have to. There were parts I didn't get.
The line about not seeking a second opinion about a "brain cloud" was classic. As was Hanks facial response to the question.

My favorite face on Hanks was when he's in the car after dinner with the second sister. She recites her poem, but it's over quickly since it's only three lines.
She asks Hanks if he wants her to repeat it, although he didn't even realize it was finished.
The look on his face -- surprised, earnest and so gentle -- is his finest acting, I think.

I want you to know if you ever break down and watch it that it is VERY VERY TRUE. There are no exaggerations in this film, believe me.
Though you could not ordinarily pay me to watch such movies and would have to tie me to a chair and superglue my eyes open, I did watch it.
It was a wonderful funny little movie. No big budget, just a funny little romance about two non-movie stars falling in love and getting married and a little ethnic fun along the way. One did get the feeling that there was some embarassingly true family history behind it.
***** Five star recommendation for all other Calvinistic Baptist KJVers (if any others exist)!

Well probably the non-Orthodox just were not on the floor in tears over the garage door, wedding invitations, and lunchbox with Greek flags on them. I thought I would never breathe again.

And last week Roger Ebert called it a "forgotten classic." One of my favorite movies that I don't see nearly as often as I should. Fantastic lines without being as overt as a Cohen Brothers film or as simple as Tommy Boy (which still remains my most-quoted movie of all time).

Very good.
Here's a great site I found with Ebert's review, the beautiful music and lots of goodies.

I think the quote that you cite proves the point that Kenyon was approaching the scriptures as any other manuscripts in his method, not necessary in his belief.
And how else does one handle the manuscripts? On what basis did Erasmus handle the multiple manuscripts that he had? On what basis did he choose the "correct" rendering? On what basis will you? Are you going to choose the most accurate copy by fiat? You certainly appear to be doing so. This is why I think your entire argument fails here.

All I canst say to my Calvinist Brother is I standeth corrected and say AMEN! The Geneva Bible art the inspired word of God, not the script of an Earthly King and sodomite to boot who wanted to be like unto the Most High. :-)
That is so much fun, I can't wait till the next local Ren Faire. Thanks OP! ;-)

Orange BUMPAROONIE! And on that subject, I worked with a very Brave Englishman (CDL, simmer down: this is a happy brit story) who proudly wore a Union Jack in his lapel on the 17th of March. He REFUSED to be classed with the Fenians in ANY way. :-) I wonder if he celebrated King Billy's Birthday.......
