Bush spending

Posted on 03/18/2004 6:30:52 PM PST by Legolasisme

Bush is spending our country into bankruptcy.

Government spending has grown nearly 29% over the last four years.

The Bush administration has spent money twice as fast Clinton. (7.6% vs. 3.4%)

Fighting the Al Quaeda terrorists costs money, but the fiscally responsible solution is to cut back low priority government spending.

Pork-barrel Republicans in Congress have increased nondefense discretionary spending at a record rate of 36%. Bush has yet to veto one pork-barrel spending bill.

In just 4 years, the Bush administration has increased nondefense discretionary spending by 1/3 more than the Clinton administration did in 8 years.

The government’s 2.4 trillion dollar budget means government is now spending more than $20,000 dollars for every family in America.

Out of control spending is causing deficits and government debt to balloon, mortgaging our future and the futures of our children and grandchildren with total liabilities of nearly $40 trillion dollars.

The Bush administration claims that it will run a $500 billion deficit. .

The Bush administration continues to use phony accounting to cover up how the government raids social security to pay for pork barrel spending. The true deficit to be over $700 billion dollars per year.

The total national debt, including what is owed to social security, has reached a record breaking level of $7 trillion.

If Bush is reelected and continues to borrow and spend, it will pass $10 trillion!

That will add to the national debt-a debt we are already paying over $200 billion in interest each year.

The long run problems are worse. The unfunded liabilities in Social Security and Medicare are over $30 trillion dollars.

Bush’s prescription medicare benefit has put an already bankrupt program even deeper into the hole.

The Rinos and Neo-cons have dealt crippling blows to the GOP.

I'm afraid that unpleasant surprises are in store for the Party this Fall.

I doubt it. Has anyone seen any indication that Kerry would be any better - even those who argue that it couldn't be any worse have to see that a Kerry presidency is highly unlikely be any better on this front.

Oddly enough, the wacky firebrand from Vermont might have done something to curb spending... but he's no longer an option, and had other faults.

So, what are we left with? The lesser of two evils. But, after you add in the Patriot Act monstrosity, and the apparently lack of any good plan for Iraq, past or present, I'll be danged, its hard to tell which is lesser these days. The devil you know, or the devil you don't know...

President Bush is a great man. I believe that almighty God has installed him in the White House. God will look over us, and guide us. He will bring us victory over evil, and provide financial relief to us all. Our economy is doing much better. The President's tax cuts have put money back in our pockets. It is our money, not the government. Praise the Lord. God Bless George W Bush, the greatest President of my lifetime, maybe ever.

I hope that no one wants you to vote for Kerry. Your state, Maryland, will probably be won by Kerry. If you disagree with Bush's budget proposals, including small tax cuts and large spending increases, I hope that you'll vote for the candidate with whom you agree the most, maybe someone in the Constitution or Libertarian Party.

Those are missleading figures, Clinton actually spend MORE, if you count the money he cut from intel, etc.

Bush had to put that money back, plus add some to vital security which Clinton GOOFED up.

So lets see, Kerry is going to give even more money to veterans, but spend Less? A kazillion on health care, but spend less? Dream on. The only one who will be spending less if kerry got in is YOU, after he jacks your taxes sky high.

The numbers don't lie. The Bush administration has given up the cause of smaller government.

Government has grown under every President, since George Washington.

Thinking government is going to shrink is the height of naivete. The best we can hope for is to slow it down.

I hope that you don't hope for slower growth of government spending while Bush is President because it hasn't happened in the past.
I voted for Michael Peroutka, of the Constitution Party, because Bush is too liberal and because Bush can't win my state, Illinois.
