Is it possible that Ron Paul is striking a chord with a lot of people that are just sick and tired of the status quo? I realize he has a lot of the loonbat support, but the houses I see that bear his signs are not those of drugged out hippies or skateboard dudes.

The voters are in foul mood toward both parties, a regular funk.

The time is ripe for Ron Paul. We've never had this chance before and an election year in which the circumstances were ripe for such a breakout from a candidate like Ron Paul.

It's a truly unique election year. If I believed in such things, I'd say the (political) stars are in alignment.

I’ve never seen such discontent from voters on BOTH sides.

There comes a time in a journey when you come to the fork in the road. You have to choose one way or the other. I think we’re getting really close to the fork in the road.

I noticed on the FR poll regarding pro-life candidates that Ron Paul’s name wasn’t on it-what gives?

The usual anti-Paul attitude here. In fairness to JimRob, he probably believes, possibly correctly, that so many non-members voting for Ron Paul in FR polls skews the results. Anyway, I'm a pre-Bush FReeper so I know all these polls, online or telephone or straw polls, are completely bogus to begin with.

When you realize we made our initial claim to fame as poll-spammers ourselves, it's more than a little ironic to pretend that any online poll, including our own, are worth even a mouse click.

Personally, I think a cinnamon toothpick is worth more than all the online polls ever conducted in the history of the internet.

Gosh, it wouldn’t be coming from outside the country, would it? Maybe, say, Riyadh?

I have to wonder if some rich Democrats are donating money to him to prop him up

Nope...it's really very simple. Millions of seniors enjoyed online poker tournaments. That liberty was taken from them by Theocons. They are contributing to Ron Paul. The same is true for medical marijuana. Those issues get no press coverage but they will determine who wins the election.

That's the thing that really amazes me. FR was the best site on the net in 2000. What the hell happened????
