U.S. Representative and former presidential candidate Ron Paul tells Newsmax that bailouts of U.S. corporations are bad morally and says current federal economic policies will literally destroy the dollar.
He also insists that the use of counterfeit paper money instead of a gold-backed currency is insane, and declares it is foolhardy for Barack Obama to propose national health care under the present economic conditions.
The Texas legislator ran for president as the Libertarian candidate in 1988, and sought the Republican presidential nomination beginning in March 2007. He withdrew this past June and did not endorse GOP candidate John McCain.

No doubt. I guess many have too much pride to admit that. It’s a shame really, you would think that after the ass whipping the RNC took in the elections it would be a time to regroup and reexamine principles.

The inane economic stimulus checks didn’t help, either.

Gee, printing money ad infinitum without regard for inflation in order to bailout over-reaching corporations who should by rights
die in a free-market after
profiting because of a free-market will eventually kill our monetary system???

Ron Paul is a giant among midgets. If nothing else the man has absolutely consistent principle in fighting big government forces.

Insane and foolhardy will soon replace Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, as a national slogan. Ron Paul has been absolutely correct on economic matters as it relates to our current crisis. We would do well to get our other elected officials to listen to him because most of them have not got the first clue.

I agree. The more I hear from Ron Paul lately, the more I believe he “gets it” more than most in Congress.
