Yeah. I love so-called conservatives that will use BIG GOVERNMENT to support their causes, but cry out loud when liberals use the same BIG GOVERNMENT for their causes. BIG GOVERNMMENT is all good for NOBODY.
2 out of the 3 pegs on the conservative stool are big gubmint. The defense hawks are big government on foreign policy (neocons.) The culture war conservatives are big gubmint on social issues (socons.) The only plank that presumably doesn’t have a big gubmint component is fiscal conservatives, and a quick glance at history, recent or not, demonstrates that that is the plank that gets the least attention. No surprise.
No kidding: the pro-Drug War "conservatives" are no more conservative than Rev. Jeremiah Wright is a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
