Ron Paul shows why gov. spending is the worst way to avoid financial crisis. He shows why America needs to end the fed and go back to gold and silver if we want to survive.
History will vindicate Ron Paul. It was he who started the modern Tea Party & limited government movement.
Yes and the more mainstream conservatives understand Dr. Paul the more they’ll be willing to take his advice and get back to the Constitution.
If he’s more honest about the financial situation of the country than other Republicans and Democrats and keeps appealing to common sense, his influence will increase.
Sometimes, people don’t like it when they are being told the truth. God will hold ‘nations’ to task, just like he does corporations or states or families. Nothing is ever free, someone will pay somewhere down the line. It’s hard to fool the gold standard, 20 pieces of gold would buy a house in 1830, in 1930 and in 2010. It doesn’t change.
“It was he who started the modern Tea Party”
Um, Rick Santelli and others had something to do with it.
” & limited government movement.”
!?!?!? What, Tom Jefferson, Cal Coolidge, Bill Buckley, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, etc. had nothing to do with it?
Ron Paul had people making their own signs protesting out-of-control gov't spending way before anyone heard of Santelli. In fact, Paul supporters held a money-bomb on the anniversary of the original Tea Party in December of 2007. The Tea Party movement was born under the Ron Paul campaign although they did not specifically refer to themselves as Tea Partiers. Sort of like how the GOP was born in Ripon, WI but became official in Jackson, MI.
Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, etc. had nothing to do with !?!?!? What, Tom Jefferson, Cal Coolidge, Bill Buckley,it?
No presidential candidate has ever proposed abolishing whole depts and programs before Ron Paul. Reagan and Goldwater talked about the evils of big government but they had no specific plans on how to limit it. Thomas Jefferson is irrelevant. I said "modern," which means latter half of the 20th century to today.
Dr. Paul is the only GOP candidate I can see beating N0bama in the next election. He is a man of integrity and a true GOPer.
I think Ron Paul upsets Republicans more than conservatives, actually. Republicans are very attached to the American foreign and homeland war machine and Ron Paul threatens that first love. Conservatives are more attached to the constitution.
“No presidential candidate has ever proposed abolishing whole depts and programs before Ron Paul. “
?!!?!?!?
False. Learn some history. Goldwater and Reagan both did just that.
Ron Paul has been in office for how long? What has he done to acutally SUCCEED? WHERE IS RON PAUL’S BLUEPRINT FOR SPENDING? HOW MANY COSPONSORS DOES HE HAVE? Why does Rep Ryan have a blue print but not him? Frankly, I’m amazed you give him such credit. People are begging for solutions and he doesnt offer concrete leadership and legislation, just speeches.
It’s great he is an advocate for smaller govt - but HAS HE ACTUALLY MADE A DIFFERENCE? does he even care to? Like too many establishment GOP types, he seems content to lose battles, preach to converted (like you), and collect his paycheck. far better to go to the mat to actually MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Dr. Paul DOES have a solution. It’s called ending the FED. The FED has been printing money and inflating the dollar to the point of worthlessness. The gov. has been controlling every aspect of our lives for far too long. Abolish the Dept. of Education, abolish the FED, move back to gold and silver and get rid of fiat (immoral currency) ONCE AND FOR ALL. And get the gov. out of the market.
What does he replace the Fed *WITH*? That’s a bumper sticker not a solution.
Ending the “FED” just jack-diddly squat while keep the rest of Govt. YOu can still have socialism on the gold standard.
“Abolish the Dept. of Education” Great - what’s his bill # to do that? How far has he pushed it forward?
Not related to this thread, but thought you would find this interesting. Dr. Paul is right on most issues.

I like Ron Paul, he’s flawed, but he’s right on some things. ((wrong on foreign policy; but I’d like to see us scale back a lot of things like dictator enrichment payments)
That being said and done, I don’t think he has a snowball’s chance in heck of becoming the next prez.
Obamunism is a failure.
