The Constitution is brilliant as written. The problem is that it is ignored by both parties.
Does anyone believe the current crop of morons and political hacks can improve on this??
I agree for the most part.
I'd like some Amendments thrown out-- Income tax and popular election of senators. These were bad.
I'd like Second Amendment to specifically block all gun control at all government levels. Original wording (apparently) wasn't clear enough.
I'd like Natural Born Citizen to be explicitly defined as born on US soil, to two parents both of whom were US citizens at time of child's birth.
There are some additions I would like, but I think it's a bad idea to create a "wish list" of neat things to throw into the document. I'd like the original document tightened, and that's about it.

How about a meeting of the States to review, in detail, how public acts and practices are adhering the the U.S. Constitution aside from those unenumerated things left to the States. Might take a while but would be instructive.

And the judicial branch was supposed to be the check against unconstitutional acts by the other branches, which is activist and non-originalist judges/justices are the real problem, and why leftists are so desperate to stack/pack the courts.
If we were going to change the constitution, we would need a more reliable system of checks and balances. The checks on unconstitutional acts by government need to have more teeth.
