Been running around like the mad gopher I am.
Gun 3, Mad Gophers.
"Dig, we must."
I was glad to get back to my own gun crew after spending time on gun 3.
I miss artillery...

The only good thing about "Battle of the Bulge" was watching those Chaffee's tooling around. Too bad the Chaffee didi't see a lot of service in WWII, it was one of the better medium tanks.

Cadillac engines. Our tanks may not have been as advanced as some of the German tanks, but our drive trains and mechanical systems were first rate!
I've got a vague memory that M-24's were used in Patton as American tanks in North Africa. Ironically, I think they used M-48 "Pattons" as the German tanks.

Maj. Jacquelyn S. "Jackie" Parker
(CNN) -- When Thumper flies an F-16, she flies solo, acting as pilot, navigator and bombardier.
"Thumper" has flown more than 30 combat missions since the start of the war.
"I actually like it that way, because it gives me the opportunity to be in control of the jet, not have somebody second-guessing the things that I'm doing, and I like that aspect of flying this jet, " she says.
Thumper is the Air Force captain's "call-sign." For security reasons, active-duty pilots use only their call signs for identification.
All female tanker crew flies Afghan mission
The 376th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron flew an all female KC-135 Stratotanker air refueling mission over Afghanistan on January 31.The crew, pictured above, starting from the lower left and moving clockwise, was 1st Lieutenant Alison, navigator, Capt. Heather, pilot and aircraft commander, Capt. Waynetta, co-pilot, and Senior Airman Lyndi, boom operator. Between the four of them, they total almost 4,000 flying hours. The event marked the first all-female crew to fly an air refueling mission into Afghanistan from Ganci.

Thank you for being there. This is always a sad (but hopeful)day for me. My dad was a multi-decorated Navy Corpman(Peleliu, Okinawa) and suffered all of his life from the injuries he sustained in WW2.My dad was the finest, most honorable man I have ever known. And GOD BLESS all of our veterans!!!!

Yeah Hollywood always uses either M-48 or M-60's as German tanks.
