LOL. I need a telephoto lens for my digital camera. There are so many tall trees here in Oregon that most of the time I can't even see the mountains I'm surrounded by in this valley. We have to drive up on the bluff near Sam's house to see any distance. I can drive around a corner 5 blocks away and BAM, Mt. Hood is right in front of me, but most of the time I'm not even aware it's there. Same with the others, Helens, Rainier, Adams, Jefferson etc.

I've been here almost a year and still don't have a good handle on where I am in the landscape. If I ever have to hightail it out of here I'd be lost!
