Okay a few quick D-Day aeroplane pics for the denizens of the Foxhole before I pass out.

How about my favorite pic of P-38s in WW-II, it alwa=ys reminded me of a mess of hornets!

And a color shot of the P-38 as well, eh.

And a P-47 pic to wrap up this AMs pics. I seem to recall that this is supposed to be Gabreski's P-47 from Oshkosh within the last few years

Could be you are up, poor soul!

That B-25 in RAF "livery" is set up as a 5th Air Force style gun ship, I see. Interesting.

I hear that a .50 would penetrate the conning tower of a VIIC with the right ammunition. Good old API, quite common in those days. Should be a three quarter meter radar antenna, or the later centimeter gear in that case, though.
