To My Father and Uncle "The Warriors"

Sometimes a warrior fights alone,
His enemy within
Battling him,
No swords or high-tech weapons,
Or John Waynes 'heading 'em off at the pass',
No armies buoying him to vanquish the foes,
He knows his own strength,
And he employs it daily,
Without rancor or revenge.
He climbs and claws through the foray,
Each day,
He prays,
Aware it could go either way.
But he does not yield,
Having done war
Many times before,
Conceding only this:
A warrior doesn't always die
In a dogfight in the sky,
Or on a battlefield.

So now the battle's ended,
But still his spirit soars,
He's won his prize,
His peace,
The end of all his wars.

Morning Glory . . . Mach 6.

Changed Lives Are Possible

Read:
John 3:1-16

Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again." —John 3:7

Bible In One Year: Esther 4-7

cover Lord Kenneth Clark, internationally known for his television series Civilization, lived and died without faith in Jesus Christ. In his autobiography, he wrote about an overwhelming religious experience he had while visiting a beautiful church.

"My whole being," Clark wrote, "was irradiated by a kind of heavenly joy far more intense than anything I had known before." Unfortunately, the "flood of grace," as he described it, created a problem for him. If he allowed himself to be influenced by it, he knew he would have to change. His family might think he had lost his mind. Or perhaps the intense joy would prove to be an illusion. So he concluded, "I was too deeply embedded in the world to change course."

What a tragedy! If only he had responded to that grace-granted glimpse of another world! If only he had allowed it to turn his attention away from this world and toward Jesus! Then he would have become a part of that invisible world, which is not an illusion but a glorious reality.

God can enable any of us to change, no matter how deeply embedded we may be in this world. The miracle of the new birth (John 3:5-7) will take place when we say yes to the stirring of God's grace in our souls. —Vernon Grounds

The Savior is waiting to save you
And cleanse every sin-stain away;
By faith you can know full forgiveness
And be a new creature today! —Bosch

Salvation is not reformation but transformation.

I find the Russian 14.5 mm a good cartridge. The standard bullet is about 1,000 grains, about seven to the pound, with a muzzle velocity of 3.300 feet per second. The standard projectile will penetrate one inch of high quality steel armor (called "RHA") at a one mile range.

The ZPU 4, pictured, has 4 guns with a total of forty shots per second.

There were a gob of these weapons in Iraq. An efficient use of this system is to draw helicopters well within it's one mile range, say by getting an American unit in trouble in a big city or while an American helicopter is attempting a rescue.

1881 William Edward Boeing founded aircraft co (Boeing)

Are you sure it wasn't Curtiss, Douglas or Lockheed he founded?

I don't think it was.
Curtiss, Douglas, Lockheed wasn't that the outfield for the 74 Mets?

You must be thinking of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe.
