Thank you! I had a great birthday. PE got me a much appreciated ceiling fan (woohoo!).
I came home with a nice comforter and sheet set. Plus, my mom gave me a "Texas" basket. It's something I feel that only Texans would truly appreciate, LOL. It was a hugh blue basket. In it were bevelled champagne flutes painted with bluebonnets, a yellow rose paper weight, a Texas shaped dish, Texas BBQ sauce, Pepper Jelly, 4 bandannas, a Larry McMurtry book - Streets of Laredo, a bottle of white zinfandel in a Texas wine bag, a bouquet of (fake) bluebonnets in a Texas wine bag, a miniature Texas flag, a "Don't Mess with Texas Women" trivet, a "Don't Mess with Texas" deck of cards and apron, some matches from Texas Roadhouse, some decorator soaps in the shape of the Lone Star, a high ball glass celebrating the 25th anniversary of Texas Stadium (Cowboys 1971-1996), chipotle dip mix, Texas flag magnets, Texas flag coasters, and a "Don't Mess with Texas" recipe holder. She gave it to me right after we got done watching the Alamo (with Dennis Quaid as Sam Houston).
I also got two bookcases, which will arrive hopefully tomorrow or the next day. My mom got them at a garage sale for $20 each. Right now they are in my mom's garage.
I also was able to bring with me my dad's scrapbook (a gift from my grandmother Christmas 1995). In it there are pictures of my grandfather when he was Corps of Engineers and in Korea. I am going to try to get those scanned either tomorrow of the next day.
We also took pictures of KarateBoy and BittyGirl in their Halloween costumes, but not on my camera. I will have to get them to pose for me again tomorrow.
I love my ceiling fan!
