Well, who knows. I have done a lot of walking after midnight and never encountered a UFO. Do ya suppose I don't meet their criteria? :-)
The first time I went backpacking in Wyoming, while stargazing and satellite spotting, I saw an interesting light zipping across the sky, then do 90 degree turns. Hmmm.
Turns out that area is the most likely spot on the entire orb to see ball lightning. Vey cool!
The lake behind my left shoulder is the place I was at the time, in the Wind River mountains.
