I'm so proud and thankful for our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan and thankful to their families for raising such honorable citizens......... and I am so shamed for our media!

I read an article this morning: Soldiers 'enhanced' by battle: Mental health experts increasingly interested in 'post-traumatic growth'. Nearly all the soldiers I knew pre-WOT came back 'enhanced". Every last one of them, who made it home, came back wiser. Clearer, more mature.

I lived in an area heavily populated with Vietnam vets. I wonder, some days, whether or not their PTSD was a result of "politicians" and the anti-American fervor. And now, where I live there are also a great may vets of Vietnam -- most of whom are Rolling Thunder, pro-Americans. I guess what I'm trying to say is.. I wonder, have wondered for years, if liberalism doesn't just make people stay focused on negativity and feel sorry for themselves. I've seen genuine PTSD. Lived through it, too, with persons so affected. I wonder, however, about the ambiguity factor in our men and women going to war, and then coming back tramatized. If they go over with a clear mission to win, are encouraged to win the mission, seems to me quite logically, they'd be able to come through well, much of the trauma.
