Morning guys! I've been watching all the beautiful pictures and stories about our troops, but I have been so busy haven't taken the time to post. Just wanted to let you know I apprecaite the pictures & stories.

What was the published justification of taking the S-3B off ASW duties in FY2000? Correct me if I am wrong but that would leave the Navy with no fixed-wing carrier-based ASW assets. The ASW role is apparently left to land-based P-3 Orions and ship based ASW helos. As it stands now, there is no ASW aircraft with "loiter" capacity that are in the immediate area of the carrier battle group. Is this an outgrowth of the Clinton malaise?

"digging it"

Yeah, no kidding. Literally digging in the dirt and pulling ivy out of my shrubs and lemon grass border. I'm aching, but the hot tub helped a lot last night.

Still have to get those Hostas planted today. Then, I can start on the flower beds!!!! WooooHoooo! ;-) The house we bought was owned by a 'master gardener' and the one-acre lot looks like a park. It's beautiful, but man oh man is it a lot of upkeep.

And, my hubby is a perfectionist about his lawn, so he dug up all the grass in the back and on one side (it had moss and weeds) and planted grass seed. Then it rained. hahahaha So, I have a huge mudhole surrounded by lush flower beds and trees and shrubs. hahahaha This is the second time he's planted grass here. (I told him to give up and call anything green that grows "grass" and be done with it. But noooooooooooo.) We may have to lay sod before he's satisfied.

I'm tempted to move into a maintenance-free condo! hahahahaha
