I wonder when the cockroach trolls will arrive to tell us that this is not real, it's just "big foot fantasy" stuff, we're just paranoid, and the border crossers are all just wonderful productive hardworking fruit pickers?

This ain't prostitution - it is systemic child-rape.

Organized and on-going. And the supporters of open borders are the enablers.

"The perpetrators of this slaverey shouldn't be imprisoned, they should be shot."

You read my mind.

And we have all these wonderful social welfare agencies in every city, every county, every state, a triple layer of them, and somehow they can't find these girls and boys and help them.

After you shoot the customers, think about the social workers.

There's been some questions about the accuracy of this article. Check out this link for more details. http://slate.msn.com/id/2094646/fr/nyt/

Were not parts of this story recently debunked? I heard the NYT reporter who wrote this was accused of manufacturing quotes and parts of this story--a la the ficticious Washington Post story in the 1980's about a 9 year old drug pusher.

I don't doubt the horrors of the sex trade--and the hell its victims endure. If I am wrong about the accustation against the NYT--please correct me.

Because "undocumented workers" are untouchable by our cops, these sex-slave houses are untouched. Just put Pedro at the front door, and it's strictly "see no evil" by the cops, because they don't want to be charged with harrassing "immigrants." Most big cities in the USA have "sanctuary laws" that forbid cops to even question illegals. That provides them all the security they need to run brothels full of young sex slaves with no worries.

Thanks--I believe the reporter who wrote this has a history of problems with the truth as well.

Doubting Landsman

Okay, Slate and the blogperson made some good points. First of all, it is a titillating and pururient article all the way through. Secondly, the bit about a guy reading the Bible before and after having sex with a young girl also reads too typical of all-religious-people-are-hypocrites stereotype; professing Christians are always sex-hungry hypocrites.

The Landsman-doubting articles seem pretty well reasoned. They don't debunk the entire sex-slave story, but they do make it appear that Landsman is likely stretching the story and making up anecdotes. But as they say, an accurate census of sex-slave brothels is not an easy thing to make.

I agree they did. Landsman is described as a novelist and screenwriter as well as a reporter....sounds like he's helping his story along, so to say.

But here's a fact NOT in dispute. 100s of girls in the Juarez area have been abducted in the last few years. Often their bodies are found months later, but only recently killed. Often the dead girls are found wearing the clothes of other disappeared girls, who were abducted long after them.

Something very sick and evil is happening to young girls along the border, and that's why I don't rule out the thrust of Lansdsman's article.

No, I certainly don't rule out the basic truth of it at all. Illegals live in a shadow world where the strongest and most brutal survive. I didn't know the detail about recently-killed young girls wearing the clothes of those killed earlier. I have no words for it.

Have you read Cities of the Plain? Seems to deal with this.

The 200 dead girls on the border have to be something more than and other than a serial killer. I don't even want to speculate.

Check out the article linked at #10. A lot of the speculation over the Juarez girl murders is that the killer/s are protected by local police. Witnesses report seeing police dumping some of the girls' bodies. Locals think there is a ring of rich sickos at play, using the police as their henchmen in abducting and dumping the girls.

I recently lived in Guam for 2 years. Guam is US territory, so the rule was that if Chinese migrants made it to the shore, they could demand lengthy legal hearings on the mainland and disappear. For a while, trawlers loaded with 100s of Chinese were trying to sneak in every week.

Anyway, USCG and other contacts told me that they found girls with various tattoos on their shoulders: two small roses etc. These girls were sex slaves- property of triads. They would work in Guam or Saipan brothels, servicing Japanese tourists.

Slaves, with tattoos showing ownership. What a world.

That's what occured to me. Rich sickos. Here in San Antonio we are not too far from Ciudad Juarez and its proximity is disheartening.

Hope your writing is going well.
