Have you ever heard of online banking? I am retired from Bank of America. There is a reason I don't bank online.
Even if I didn't have my reasons for not banking online, it would still be my perogative to write a check if I chose to do so. :)

Checks are bad news for retailers. The only reason that retailers have accepted checks is to keep from losing business. The problem you, and others still attached to checks are going face is a simple one. Your (check writers) numbers are dwindling, and rapidly. As your numbers shrink, your collective clout decreases. It's already reached the point where retailers are imposing ever greater impositions on check-writers, because they can. Soon, it will be impossible to pass a check on unverified funds at the point of sale.

Just as its Kroeger's perogative to limit their customers to just 25 cash over shopping limit each week.
