Sorry dude, it's just too convenient. Albertson's has portable scanners in the Dallas market now. You scan your card, pick up a scanner, scan your items as you put them in your cart (which you can put in bags as you scan). Go the automated line, insert debit card, and poof you're done.

Best part is the scanner keeps track of the exact total, including tax and coupons as you go. That and that it totally eliminates the wait in line. It's awesome.
