Parents Fuming Over 'Foul Mouth' Bratz Doll
WCBSTV.COM ^ | 26 DECEMBER 2006 | CBS

(CBS) MIAMI -- She’s definitely cute. Little girls across the country think she’s hip. But one father says she is a foul mouth Bratz, the doll that is.

Luce Arce bought his daughter Kristina, the Bratz doll “Baby Jade” for Christmas. He thought it would be a fun talking, Karaoke singing doll, but he was terribly surprised.

Arce says the words that come out from Baby Jade’s mouth are out of line and not appropriate for his 6-year-old daughter.

When the doll sings, “You could actually hear the f-word. What is this to a child, a six year old? This is ludicrous, I can't believe this," said Arce.

CBS 4 in Miami tried to contact the toy’s manufacturer, MGA Entertainment, for comment. However, no calls were returned, not even to release the lyrics to the song that the doll sings.

As for, little Kristina’s doll, her father says it is okay that she still likes “Baby Bratz.” Though, he made certain that newly bought Bratz doll “Baby Jade” would have to keep quiet until he returns the doll back to Santa.

The package says, "I Blow Bubbles."

Bubbles had no comment.

Even when my daughter expressed interest in owning some of these dolls, I steadfastly refused to allow it. They all look like little hookers, and I'm sure that's no accident.

Maybe this clueless parent could exchange Bratz Jade for a "Bratz Bling Bling" Doll. (Underwear optional. Pimp sold separately)

Seriously this "Bratz" line is heading into seriously sick territory, marketing sex and ho-glam to little girls. Any parent who buys this stuff needs to reexamine their priorities.

He just forgot to buy the Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset to go with the doll. Why can't he be determined to make his primary school-aged daughter the "stupidest, most spoiled whore of them all!"

My sons ages 20 & 24 put their foots down on the Bratz dolls along time ago. No matter how my 7 yrs old begs she doesn't get them. If someone gives her one it disappears to replaced by a Barbie. I get a kick out of it because for once I don't have to be the bad guy. They say the dolls look like sl-ts. They also are fuming over the slogans on little girls t-shirts which I do agree with them on. ...In our house we have decided to try and keep our 7 yr old a little girl as long as possible. She is very happy with her American doll and her collectible Barbies.

I think their new slogan should be:

Bratz Dolls - Because your little princess is never too young to become a slut.

Good for you! There are far too many parents unwilling to just say "no" to their children's desires for inappropriate toys and clothing. Neither my wife nor I would ever be considered prudish, but some of the stuff advertised for children today is so beyond the boundaries of taste and is so overtly sexual that we cannot allow it in our home. Children need to be children. They do not need to be prematurely sexualized by the twisted minds that seem to dominate the fashion and entertainment industries.

Children need to be children.

Exactly! When I was a child we were outside on the coldest days getting fresh air. We made doll houses out of boxes and used our imagination. We didn't sit in front of tv or play video games. Plus we were grateful for anything we got. I see such a lack of manners in children these that I am shocked. Then I meet the parents and understand why the children are brats. .. I don't know if I am paranoid but I am very careful whose house my child goes to and I don't allow her to do sleepovers. Maybe its because I had her at 41 and theres a huge age difference from the oldest who is 27. I do notice all her brothers and her dad are way more strict then I am. I feel sorry for her 1st boyfriend. He is going to meet 4 brothers and a strict daddy. Thankfully thats a long time away. Merry Christmas ~~Pandora~~

I am very unprudish, but the Bratz dolls are absolutely so far out of line, it's astonishing. My five year old is constantly asking for them, and I absolutely refuse to allow them in my house.

What kind of sick freak company puts out little sexualized 8 year old dolls? I can't believe any parent lets their daughters have these creepy things.
