If you can, how about an analysis of the repercussions? Effects on the financial markets, general economy, a massive effort to solidify police-state law enforcement?...etc.

--you asked for an analysis. I'll offer a short one, starting with knowns and unknowns, by tomorrow I most likely will have nore:

We know of several successful attacks, and a coordinated effort.

There have been NO MORE attacks.

I just learned about heightened security at some mil bases that started two weeks ago, nothing on the news about that, though.

Speculation has been immediately it was mad jihaders, presumably bin laden. this has been loud. it is taken as an 100% assumption by most people. it is a decent guess, but not all the possibilities obviously.

It is still speculation.

If this was state sponsored by some foreign country, you would have expected some other significant moves, there have been none, no massive attacks elsewhere's

The massive protests against the globalists were just about to happen

Only one foreign group alledgedly claims credit, then quickly denied

I have heard several trial balloon type of buzzword linkages with domestic disgruntled groups-very chilling speech coming on the news.

Several politicians are on saying we need much more security, etc, to 'combat terrorism", but they have been emphasizing domestic actions, senator Biden yesterday gave a speech that almost outlined the attack that occured today. Weirdness.

FEMA and everyone else , nat guard, etc is geared up now, and first reports of panic buying at the stores and gas stations

Wall street closed after two days of big drops, the speculation is was going to continue to drop.

Starting to hear of various travel restrictions, first obviously air travel, but also at international crossings, and isolated areas at all major cities, public buildings, etc.

----------immediate response is as predicted long ago, the people are both crying out to attack this vague "foreigner" who is "responsible" for this action, also, the people want "more domestic security".

My question is, who profits the most from these terr attacks? Do the palestinians? Not really, severely counter productive to their efforts right now. Osama bin laden? Not really, but he's a very convenient badguy. he has no followup now, he's shot his wad really. At this point have no way whatsoever to tell if he was responsible, although it is definetly within his possibility to pull this off. Realistically, only a dozen people were required for this attack, that's it,a dozen to half - paralyze a nation . And this isn't even a small backpack nuke or bio attack, just an unusual guerrilla warfare style attack.

Next 24 hours will yield much more data. I would be surprised if this is the last attack. I sincerely hope a bio attack hasn't been initiated as well, something with a one or two week time lag.

We can expect some sort of emergency bill passing, executive orders, vastly increasing the cia budget, military budget, and domestic snooper type laws. Politicians will be put into a no win situation to oppose almost anything like this. Might even be emergency sessions in congress, I just don't know.

To me, the most telling clue is the lack of a followup to take advantage of the successful attacks. No where has this happened. At this point it is still one of two possibilities, and I honestly can't speculate much beyond that. If this was a generic middle eastern offensive, you might have seen a coordinated attack on israel or kuwait and saudi, and this hasn't happened. If it's just bin laden, he has to have known that an attack like this would make him a pariah, so that would make this his last attack, and I just don't see it, because there has been no follow up to such a blow. The damage he could have done with just a few more followups would have been astounding, and this hasn't happened. That is too screwy to me at this time. to go to all this effort, be mostly successful, then not put the boot in once the sucker punch was thrown. This sort of attack should have initiated a much larger attack, and it hasn't happened. That seems to indicate the attack was for another reason-what you are seeing happen, the galvanization of public opinion. I am obviously just speculating now, we really have to have more data and soon for more.

Ha! have just heard as I am writing this congress will be meeting tonight to start passing laws. Here it comes I think. problem-reaction-solution deal maybe. Jury still out. If they start randomly arresting people, we'll see then. I did NOT like the word linkages I have been hearing on the news, it was subtle but there. They started linking the domestic groups they demonize all the time with this attack and tippy toeing around a linkage to bin laden. Sounds like okc part deux.

Both scenarios are terrible, at this point if it was bin laden or another group it will be better than a globalist plot, that would have to be a gimmee.
