In my Manhattan atlas, 7 WTC is just North of Vesey St. It has the notation "emergency crisis center". This may be the building where the Mayor was trapped for a time.

6 WTC (U.S. customs) is between the North Tower and 7 WTC on the map. I've not heard anything about the fate of 6 WTC, but this news is ominous.

Probably, assuming no one was killed or trapped when that building was hit by debris and fire.

This is my first post today. I caught the two planes right before I left for classes this morning. I spent much of the afternoon checking on some relatives - thank God they're Ok.

The only think I can certainly say, in my heart at this point, is that I'm sick and tired of the "multicultural, we can all live together" sh!t. This attack needs to give us the excuse to declare war, and eradicate known terrorist cells for the future safety of the world. We must all stand together here, and pray together, while calmly realizing exactly what needs to be done.

I agree. The first thing I said this morning is now I believe in isolationism. Lets work and support OUR country and forget the rest of the world. We should be like Switzerland and be neutral and screw the rest of the world. I know this sound simplistic, but I wouldn't mind just taking care of my country and not worry about the rest of the a--holes in the world.

I like your Bible verse. However, I believe this is a bad day for all observant religious types worldwide. I believe that secular authorities in all countries will now take this opportunity to further demonize "fundamentalists" of all persuasions. And, yes, as a Southern Baptist, I definitely qualify. They began evacuation at about 9:15. She had just settled into her desk and all of a sudden a person from the other side of the floor ran in and told them to get the %#% out because his window had just been shattered by debris.

She was out of the building and the area before the collapse. Hope your friend made it out OK. Thank God that person had the presence of mind to alert everyone
