A CALL TO ARMS FOR THE UNORGANIZED MILITIA!
The US Constitution | 09-19-01 | vannrox

Posted on 09/19/2001 6:24:37 AM PDT by vannrox

A CALL TO THE UNORGANIZED MILITIA.

WE ARE AT A STATE OF WAR, AND AS SUCH, THE UNORGANIZED MILITIA NEEDS TO BE CALLED INTO ACTION. THIS IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

WE DO NOT POST NON-SECURE INFORMATION ON THIS SITE.

IF YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF CLASSIFIED INFORMATION DO NOT POST IT.

LIVES ARE AT STAKE. IF WE ARE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN OUR ACTIONS, WE WILL NEED TO BE FIRM AND COOPERATIVE WITH OUR PRESIDENT.

NOW IS THE TIME, IF NEVER BEFORE SINCE THE EARLY 1800'S, THAT THE UNORGANIZED MILITIA SHOULD BE CALLED TO ARMS.

WE HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO PROTECT AND PARTICIPATE IN THE SAFETY OF OUR COUNTRY. I, MYSELF, DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS APPLICATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED.

BUT, I DO KNOW THAT THE NATION AS A WHOLE IS UNUSED TO THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THE UNARMED MILITIA. SINCE WE ARE AT WAR, I CANNOT HELP BUT SEE THAT THE ACTIONS AND ACTIVITES OF OUR ORIGIONAL UNORGANIZED MILITIA CAN AND SHOULD BE LEGALLY IMPLEMENTED. PERHAPS THERE IS SOME WAY THAT WE CAN DRILL AND LEARN TO PATROL AND PROTECT THE INDIVIDUALS OF OUR COMMUNITIES. PERHAPS WE COULD DRILL IN THE PARTS.

OR, PERHAPS WE COULD OBTAIN CHEAP GUNS FROM THE FEDERAL ARMORIES... THERE IS NO PRECIDENT FOR THIS SINCE THE REVOLUTION.

ANY COMMENTS?

Yes, after two centuries of liberal miseducation, and media discourse, the fact remains that the unorganized militia has a role and a responsibility at this time. Its time that we should implement this responsibility -- and strengthen our support base for the second amendment.

I'm not part of any Milita, but I am American & I am armed & would protect my Country if called upon. I am well educated with weapons as are most of my fellow Southern Brothers & Sisters here in the South East U.S. If they want some, come get some.

As a milita member myself, I agree with you. Being practical, the law enforcement community and our government (federal, state, local) treat us as criminals and try to take our guns every chance they get, I don't see them changing that policy.

If you are not a member of the organized militia and if you are an able-bodied male citizen and citizenship aspirant between the from the ages of 17 to 45 then by legal definition you are a member of the unorganized militia.

If you are an able bodied citizen of the United States, you are a member of the Militia. It's not something you join. It's not optional. It's a duty of citizenship.

See my previous post, ""Who is ultimately responsible for national defense? (We the people)" for more information about how our culture has failed you, and all of America, and how this failure contributed to the attack on 9/11/2001.

Yeah? Just who is it you plan to shoot? Bear in mind that the enemy knows better than to make a frontal charge. We could grab our guns and have a grand old time. Sure- let's arm ourselves, alright. But these insects can slither in like the cockroaches they are, do their thing and get out while we're still looking for something to fire at. They've changed their tactics, we got to change ours.

My dear brother and sister FReepers,

At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them.  I have much I would like to say.

BUT, I cannot!

Why?

Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.

I beg you, if you have not yet donated to FreeRepublic this quarter,  do so now!

If you have already donated, THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU, please ping your friends, and FReep on...!

I realize you are giving to lots of Relief efforts and I encourage you to do so.  But we need to help FR too.  Where would we be right now without it?

If you have no money, please come and bump the Fundraiser Thread.

I would really like to reach our goal quickly so that I and the rest of the dedicated FReepers who are working the Fundraiser Threads can participate in what is undeniably the most important time in FreeRepublic's history.

WHERE WOULD YOU GET YOUR NEWS FROM IF FREEREPUBLIC WASN'T HERE?<--click here

You simply cannot be serious! Do you plan to sit on your ass and ignore what goes on around you? If you have children, when you go to or pass by a school, are you going to be like a horse with blinders on and looks straigt ahead? When you go to the grocery store, movie, mall, ball game or what have you, are you not going to remain alert to what is happing around you. When you drive a car across a bridge or in a tunnel, you wouldn't notice a truck or a van stopped in an unusual location? If you fly on an airplane you would not be aware of a person sitting next to you fishing a sharp object out of his shoe, breif case or pockets?

We, the Constitutional Milita are the only people that will be in a place to stop the next attack! You can be sure that something else will befall us. I hope that, should it happen near me, I can react and prevent other innocent people from the horror of what they went through in NY and the Pentagon on Tuesday, 11Sep01.

Most, if not all, State Constitutions have a section on LEGAL Militia. Usually these are coordinated with county sherrifs. This should be a good starting point.

Be sure to comply, if you don't wish to attract a LOT of unwanted attention.

Ummm...

I have never been a "Member" of today's idea or concept of Militias. I have been continuously requested to join, and, been continuously requested to have a small group of my boys and myself Op-4 against these groups. I am here to say, and you may not like it, but facts are facts...in order for any of these groups to be one, takin seriously, or even acknowledged, they must get some serious leadership.

The groups that we "Played" with, you could drive a tank by them and they would not know it.

It is one thing to want to defend your country with arms, it is quite another to pretend you're a patriot and have men under your training and not know the first thing about readiness, sops, supply lines, all of the above.

We once were invited to try to enter a perimeter. Recon in, and try to blow up a fuel depot in the enemy's camp. They had fourty men, we had five. It took us 6 hours to crawl in and out, right past their sentries, into the middle of their camp and set an 81MM ariel flare on a timer...

We were back at our AO(a truck a mile away) cracking a beer when the horizon lit up. Point being, these groups are Pseudo Rambos...It would be my bet, and I am not a gambling man, that when the phones start to ring for a call to muster, more than half will change their minds.

Unless the militias get some competent leaders and with them, competent personnel, I would not depend on them to be there when you got your a$$ hanging in the breeze...

FWIW...

Reviving the Home Guard

If every man carries his M-16 everywhere he goes, America will become a quite and peaceful nation.  But reviving militia means overcoming powerful enemies.  Think Bush is like Churchhill?
“The word ‘local’ is uninspiring. Mr Herbert Morrison suggested to me today the title ‘Civil Guard’ but I think ‘Home Guard’ would be better.”
NOBODY argued much with Churchill in those days, so Home Guard they became on July 24. By that time, 1.3 million men had joined the force and recruiting had been suspended.

I think it is a good idea that the militia stays out of politics and implemented a sort of civil defense program that is severely lacking in the US. Unfortunately law enforcement does also its own share of politicking by jealously defending its own turf when it comes to civil defense instead of sharing information with the legit groups that could help law enforcement develop leads against terrorists as well as provide shelter in case of bio or chem attack for those that are still healthy.

"...Just who is it you plan to shoot?" "...[T]hese insects can slither in, ... do their thing and get out while we're still looking for something to fire at. They've changed their tactics, we got to change ours."

I agree with your last statement. Our government must change its tactics to fight this war. BUT, we must convince our government leaders to re-institute the civlian militia. Why? Very simple. Professional law enforcement, military, and rescue personnel are already busy enough as it is, without the added responsibility and duty of having to guard strategic targets. That is number one. Number two is the fact that a number of LICENSED, TRAINED MILIITIA, carrying concealed weapons everywhere they go, every day, will go a very long way in reducing two things: crime on the streets AND small terrorist strikes.

If anyone reading this wants to take exception to my remarks , fire away. But as you counter my argument, please explain why both Israel and Switzerland have been so successful in the use of this type of civilian force.

Americans MUST rise to this occassion. It is time to put away childish things (notions of PC, et al) and get on with protecting our children from these Bastards.
