Jim, I am not exactly sure why you pinged these song lyrics to me...I personally think that this columnist had a good point and I welcome people to disagree with me. What does disturb me however, is that you seem to be insinuating that I am not patriotic and do not love this great country that I am blessed to live in. I would fully support a war against whomever is responsible for these terrible acts against our country--I am a conservative's conservative and a strong Christian. But I am wary of George W. Bush's leadership and personality traits, sorry, but even if he gave a couple of great speeches; saying something and then actually following through in politics is something of a statistical anamoly.

I know that you probably think that I am somehow being unpatriotic in posting this thread and I don't mean to be at all; but I think that if your website is to be named 'Freerepublic' the name should at least stand for something, including free speech.

But at this point in time President Bush is what you have......(not gonna have another election until 04). Now either you support the effort or you don't.

Well, I pinged the lyrics to you mainly because you were the person who originated this thread and I simply clicked on your reply button. They might better be addressed to those squirrely guys who don't believe in defending our great nation even when deliberately attacked by foreign invaders and who are promoting the ridiculous idea that we should attempt to negotiate or appease the monsters that have committed this horrendous act of war. If you are not one of the appeasers, then that's good.

As we are all very painfully aware, Osama bin Laden and his terrorist organization has made a career of killing innocent civilians all around the globe. And now his murdering cutthroats have infiltrated our society and have only one goal in mind. Kill as many of us as they can and bring the USA to its knees if possible. And they will use every manner of weapon and opportunity to do exactly that.

Now is not the time for appeasement. It is now time to kill or be killed and I believe that is what President Bush and his advisors have in mind. And I believe they intend to take the fight to the enemy. Let the blood flow on their soil and let it be their blood. It is time to destroy bin Laden and his entire terrorist network and wipe them and the governments who support them off the face of the Earth forever. It was not us who started this war, but, if God is willing, it will be us who ends it.
