Please keep us posted on anything else that comes across your police scanner. So few people have them.

I just called someone at home. This is a "live" report.
There are in excess of 40 police cars and the SWAT team out. Roads are blocked off. There is a large crowd.
Seems that people will gawk at anything.
More as I get it.

Time to give a lot of Arabs a choice:
Deportation, incarceration, or extermination.
This must be done for our children. They need to leave now.

Probably full of rancid, discarded hanging chads.

It is Rush's spare hearing aid in high gear.
I don't think Rush would mind the humor, by the way.

My first question as an arriving FBI agent would be...
WTF were you doing sniffing safety deposit boxes???
To: Joe Boucher
Could be a meth lab.

Ocachobee is 20 miles North of Boca Raton. The exit before Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. if you are traveling North.

People better get over that. In your spare time read this:
http://sdsd.essortment.com/texascityexplo_rkvi.htm
Most of the deaths were because everyone decided it would be nice to stand around and watch a ship full of ammonium nitrate burn. Hope they liked the view, because they had a front row seat when it blew.

methANTphetamine perhaps?

Time to give a lot of Arabs a choice: Deportation, incarceration, or extermination. This must be done for our children. They need to leave now. Oh, my. You don't even know what it is and you're already proposing the extermination of Arabs.
Consider this non-Arab solution: somebody left something with batteries in the box, and now they're leaking, ruining whatever else is in there, and making a lot of smoke. It happens.

OK - so what about the 3 guys who were arrested trying to cross the roadblocks...
Was it Arabs
Hmmm?
Not that I am trying to profile or anything but did they look like camel jockeys??

To: Joe Boucher
The three men arrested for trying to bypass the roadblock were Arab looking. Cops and Hazmet folks everywhere. It's going to get worse before it gets better and I am sure glad I am not an arab in America right now. Can't imagine how tough it is if you are a school kid with say palistinian background. People are panicking all over the place. Sad.

The cops and the SWATs are practicing crowd control and traffic is really screwed up at 5:00 PM on Friday.
Other than that, I think you could probably find a live update on any radio station in Southern Florida that has an internet site.

Batteries, huh??
Nope, when was the last time you saw a battery leaking??? I remember that in the 1960s - Modern dry cells DONT leak, they may crust-over a little but thats it.
People are reported ill, so I wouldnt be closer than a mile from that place right now if I lived there.

I grew up in North Palm Beach. I went to Cardinal Newman High School, back when it still had middle class kids. My mom still lives in Palm Beach Gardens. I can't say that I miss Florida, other than to say that I miss this little Cuban Restaurant in Riviera Beach off of Blue Heron Blvd. (an absolutely terrible part of town). They make the best Cuban sandwich.

Every few months I see CPSC or military product warnings about types of batteries that can rupture or explode, and often they include details of what happened. Like I said, it happens.

And in case you don't believe me, check
this out:
WASHINGTON, D.C.- In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Compaq Computer Corp., of Houston, Texas, is voluntarily recalling for replacement about 55,000 battery packs used with Compaq's Armada notebook computers. These battery packs can short circuit, causing them to overheat, release smoke and possibly catch fire.
And I can imagine somebody leaving their laptop in a safe deposit box while they took a trip someplace, too.
IOW, it's a plausible scenario. Satisfied?

It could be Obubba Been Laiden's used underwear that Roddham Inseinn is saving to give to Goodwill for a tax deduction.

How many Cuban's do they use? Oh, just one. Preferably the little ones, it is like veal. The younger ones are more tender.
Anywhoo, a Cuban sandwich has pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and Cuban bread. They are delicious.

Im beginning to notice a pattern in your posts. Good. Why don't we just cut to the chase, then.
If you take a look at the posts on this thread, we have: a smoking safe deposit box; three "Arab-looking" men; a leap to the conclusion that it's a terrorist attack; and among other things, a suggestion that Arabs be exterminated.
Perhaps the pattern you see is that I find such things to be foolishness on the one hand, and dangerous to our own liberties on the other. We laugh now at the response to Orson Wells' War of the Worlds -- but far too often the responses we're seeing here are of exactly the same type.
Not everything that happens is an Arab plot or terrorist attack, and not every Arab is out to get us. Wild-eyed assumptions that they are, are irresponsible.

I have actually had a sandwich at the place you speak of. They are great.
Everyone gets so hysterical these days. I just could not help injecting a little sick humor.
It looks like I will not be able to go home until late tonight -- so I guess it is the card room at the dog track instead.
I refuse to show ID in order to drive to my house. At last word that is what is being required to enter the area.

To: r9etb
That's all well and good, but there are a few facts that we already know: 1) Palm Beach County was home to a majority of the hijackers 2) Palm Beach County is home to the airport where some of the hijackers trained and also inquired about crop dusting planes 3) Palm Beach County was the home of the first Anthrax victim (now dead) 4) Palm Beach County is heavily populated by Jews While this may be nothing, the fact that the situation is taking place in Palm Beach County makes it more than noteworthy.

Or worse, she's trying to hide this fashion faux pas:

(The story doesn't say the fumes are sulfurous, but if it's this coat, they'd have to be.... And what's with the brooch?)

Frankly, I need to get a police scanner as well. I go to high school and I have been in lockdown 2 times since the start of school because of people calling in probably fake threats...if I had a scanner w/me, I would at least know what is going on.

While this may be nothing, the fact that the situation is taking place in Palm Beach County makes it more than noteworthy. True enough. And by that analysis, if we suppose the Arab-looking men are somehow involved, one might suspect that they were destroying evidence. But we're not there yet.
