I wished the doctor were there, so I could ask her, what is this a picture of?
Maybe Ill have to remember to bring the ultrasound to the hospital for number four.
For those on the bumplist, just trying out the new format.

Dear patent, this is so moving. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. God bless.

The hospital strongly recommends the test, because parents might hold us liable if they have a disabled child.Or the child through his next friend might sue for 'wrongful birth'.
How can someone who buys into these pretexts for killing end up an obstetrician?

Thank you.
Among other things, the article describes the hospital atmosphere very well: complete inability to get a moment of rest and surly personnel preoccupied with legal matters.
So, how do the new bumps work? One difference is that one can't bump nonexisting persons. Is there a description somewhere? It is a bit disorienting not to see the entire list.

The OB/GYN "cared" about giving them information they didn't ask for, but didn't care about the patient getting some much needed rest. She should be ashamed of herself.

Thanks for the bump.. My wife and I had a very similar discussion with our Doctor (U.S. Army, Fort Bragg, NC) The ONLY purpose of that test is to encourage ABORTIONS!!... Many people fail to understand the number of FALSE POSITIVES this test produces and therefore the number of "convieniently justified" killings of another human being
May God Help America!!

Thanks for the bump on this story, patent. A friend of mine with a one-year-old does wonderful imitations of his baby when she could only be seen with ultrasound (coy, flirtatious little side shots, joyful front shots . . .). He's exaggerating of course, but he says the sense of life is so profound that he doesn't understand how anyone who has seen 3-D ultrasound of their child can ever again be in favor of abortion.

We knew from Month 4 that our #10 child was a physical wreck and would not likely make it long, if at all. My wife and I persevered, and St. Max now watches over all of us--and has been quite an intercessor for troubled babies, BTW.
We also had the death-squad MD's (at an allegedly Catholic hospital) asking if we really wanted to continue nutrition/hydration. Were I sentient when we were asked, I might have asked the MD if HE wanted continuing nut/hyd for himself--oh, well.
