Is it possible that these 'moon worshippers' are basing all of their attack dates on the islamic calendar?

Doubt it. Al Qaida's attacks (Cole, Kenya, Nairobi, WTC) have almost avoided happening on significant dates. I think they're smart enough to know the LEOs heighten security on those days.

Having said that, Ramadan runs Nov 14-Dec 16 (or is it Nov 16-Dec 14?) this year. Muslims are exempted from the Ramadan requirements if they fighting in a Jihad, so this means they will probably be able to strike us, but we will limit our response out of "respect" for their holy days...

The moon was still waning on September 11th and was not visible at sunset. The first crescent moon at sunset would have been observed on or about September 18th (day after new moon).

In fact, he was the Moon-god who was married to the sun goddess and the stars were his daughters.
