Good idea.

Those little disposable cameras can take quite a bit of abuse, and are easy to use. Not ideal, but a half-ass photo is still better than good memory in most cases.

Use a digital camera if you have one of 2 megapixels or better. It's easier to apply digital techniques to bring out details if necessary. Also, you don't have to worry about the cost of developing film. When in doubt, shoot the pictures, then download into your computer with notes.

Unfortunately, a concealed carry permit in my state (NY) is very tough for the average citizen to get. I'll have to make due with the camera.

Good work. Decent disposable cameras with flash are relatively cheap. A good investment would be one for each vehicle, one for the house and one to keep in your purse or brief case.

Besides, good thing to have anyway in case the children do something adorable.
