IE did do a nice story last week about a man in Florida who is racking up fines for refusing to take his flagpole down (the neighborhood group wants him to display it on his house and so they sued and the judge fined him a certain amount per day he kept the flagpole up). This man needs to be given a thumbs up. Too bad I did not get his name.

Sorry, but knowing Home Owner Associations and their rules as I do....this guy's tough outta luck. It was in his closing papers. He can put the flag on his house like everyone else, or get the rule changed with a vote of the homeowners....he can't just make his own rule.

"IE did do a nice story last week about a man in Florida. . . "

Well I suppose they should be commended for that. But this report (re: Xillary' booing) was irresponsible.

Here's a copy of the email I sent to the IE editor:

Editor, Inside Edition:

I'm an occasional viewer of your program. After today's program, I'll be moving to the "never view" category.

Your report on the VH1 benefit concert in NY city, the one in which Hillary Clinton was roundly booed, left less than an honest impression. Much less. You mentioned Richard Gere (rightly so). Why not Hillary?

To add insult to injury, you went on to report about a second event, the VOGUE fashion show. Also covered by VH1, Hillary crashed this event, also. All you said about her appearance there was that she was "well received". That may have been so, but the whole program taken together left a very false impression. That is unforgivable. Better to not mention her at all.

A former first lady and current senator getting booed is not newsworthy?

It's because of the "tough NY media" (yeah, right) constantly tossing her softballs and ignoring controversy this totally unqualified woman sits in the US Senate today. As a resident of NY State, I sarcastically say "thank you very much".

Thank God for the Internet and alternate news sources. We are no longer dependent on the lazy, irresponsible reporting from the likes of you.

(My name and address)
