It seems that the FBI is having trouble getting information out of Arab terrorist suspects. According to bureau officials, the problem is that the suspects know that they won't be tortured, and so they're clamming up. No doubt they are also counting on Dershowitz & co. to defend them if things get tougher.
According to some recent interviews, the bureau is thinking about extraditing these guys to some friendly Arab countries — like Egypt and Morocco — where interrogation is conducted more vigorously than here. There is certainly something to be said for it, but before we turn them over to the tender mercies of their Arab brothers we ought to use the considerable resources of the country that has the most experience, and the greatest success, in dealing with Islamic terrorism. That would be Israel.
We are hampered not only by the constitutional protections of the accused or the suspected; we have very few interrogators who are fluent in Arabic, conversant with Islamic culture, and sufficiently sophisticated to understand the mentality of the terrorists. There are scores of Israelis who have all these skills, and many of them are now retired, and would be delighted to help us. Moreover, while Israel has often subjected terrorist suspects to interrogation that would not pass muster in the D.C. Court of Appeals, Israeli courts have insisted on strict limits on acceptable methods. This is not the case in even the most civilized of our Arab allies.
The use of Israeli interrogators would have immense psychological advantages, since the terrorists take it for granted that the United States and Israel are simply two parts of a vast Satanic continuum, and as soon as they see an Israeli asking questions they will immediately assume that they have been sent to a hotter level of Hell. I suspect that they will be more forthcoming under the changed circumstances.
Indeed, this seems so obvious that I wonder why it hasn't been done already. Can it be that here, too, the obsessive concern with preserving our vast "alliance" at all costs has gotten in the way of achieving our life-and-death mission?
Let's work with our democratic allies first, and turn to friendly tyrannies only as a last resort.

With RARE EXCEPTIONS, "prisoners" in America are treated FAR BETTER than "Citizens" in a Moslem "Theocracy!"

We believe that we will kill Osama, beat up the Talis, thank our coalition pals, and go back home, and presto everything is all jolly again. But it just doesn't work like that. Osama and company are the tip of the blister. When you lance the blister all the pus oozes out. The pus, whether we want to face it or not, is made up of all the bowel fillings of our coalition partners.
We are a good people, and that goodness makes us a very naive people. We really believe that anyone who would come here for five minutes would repudiate any ties to his past.
But the reality today is not like that. The hate, the fury the Bin Ladenists demonstrate cannot be salved with kind words, and even good works. They look at our magnanimity as proof that we are the hands of Shaitan trying to trap them into hell.
Look how they think we are barbarians.
1. We allow men to ogle our women. Our women demean themselves and are like whores with painted faces and deliberately arouse passions a man is too animal too control. They will be raped, and they are comlicit. SO you Americans are barbarians for not protecting women and approve of rape.
2) You do not chop off the hands of thieves. Why do you think your people have bars on their windows and elaborate alarm systems. The American people deserve the fear they have in their hearts for not delivering swift punishment. Americans are barbarians; they allow thieves to run free in gangs.
3) All of the American holidays are times to go shopping in malls and being silly with public drunkeness and depravity. Muslim holidays are days of deep prayer and family gatherings praising G-d. Americans are so silly, like children, but since they are adults it is irresponsible, they are barbarians. Do not be fooled by their success, that is a present from the great Shaitana to fool the good Muslim. Close your eyes to their freedom, becuase their freedom is a direct road to hell.
It shouldn't take more than two or three pitches before you start getting some info!
And why can't our government hire an expert to help them build their case? Aren't hired gun experts a favored resource of defense lawyers? Ledeen's idea of hiring Israeli interrogaters seems so logical, and yes, "obvious". Unfortunately much that seems obvious isn't being done. In hindsight, the CDC really should have begun testing the mail carriers who might have delivered those letters to Brokaw and Daschle...in hindsight.
Only democrats would be capable of using CDC and other unfortunate mistakes, against President Bush in 2004. They are already out there, gearing up to do just that. We can count on the media to relish inviting Clinton people on for that purpose. Rahm Emanuel was on tonight, Madeleine Albright too.

Wouldn't the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution prohibit treating a pig like that?

Something tells me that not even the most fanatical Muslim extremist could find anything "proud" about the way they would die in an American prison, at the hands of other prisoners.
These guys like to die while taking innocent women and children with them, not watching their intestines spill out onto a filthy concrete floor after being sliced open with a sharpened spoon while American murderers and rapists laugh at them.
