I know what you're saying, but the fact is that people donated their money to these families by their own choice. If Americans want to send a billion dollars or whatever it is for this cause rather than cancer or whatever, so be it.

I agree with O'Reilly that it's disgraceful the the Red Cross, United Way, etc. have not disbursed the money, but I'm not in the least bit surprised. I think people got the impression that these groups were collecting the money simply to pass it out again. The fact is, these are service organizations. They are geared to providing services, not cash. All these celebrities, etc., donating a million dollars apiece to these charities would help more by seeking out the families directly and writing them a check.

Absolutely. A list of names is there to send the money to. If the celebsare going to send their money to the United Way ( which I have problems with by the way ) then why publicize it? I have gone through a horror story with the United Way when I was a kid. They are not all what they are cracked up to be. If you broke down a 1 million dollar donation given by one celeb it would come down to something like $1,100 dollars a person. If that. I just think Bill needs to take it easy on the Gov. and realize there are a million other things he is doing right now.

Bashing him and the Bush administration during the time of war and crisis is not something I care to hear him do. If the money gets swindled like it always does by some charity or some official then it will get filed into the "whatelse is new" file.
