We're headed into deep deep water with these anti-terrorist laws. Hopefully they will not be abused. 99 and 2/3 percent of me thinks they will.

Wow, I haven't yet read the text of the new legislation, but it sounds like it is giving a lot more power to law enforcement agencies. At a time like this we shouldn't be surprised that this sort of legislation is heading toward the President's desk.

The absurd thing is calling this idiocy "The Patriot Act"

You just can't get anymore Orwellian than that.

It's the truly worst example of law making to come around in a looooong looooong time.
