Now do another one on "Gang Green!"
YES!! Done! With pleasure. (Maybe the next call-in topic...)
I'll take 1% royalties, thank you.
Did I mention it was public access? However, come to L.A. and I'll buy you an IN 'N OUT burger. Deal?

Thanks, I'll sign this and have my buddy sign it as well.

This sounds like an impingement of the California State Constitution, Article 10A Secs. 1 and 2.

"These would all be 'willing sellers', of course."
Everything will be done 'nice and legal'.
It's a travesty, a railroad job; I'm glad folks are fighting for their rights themselves, because their political representatives lack the heart to do so.
Coho, suckers, 'old-growth' forest; it's all a legal/political smoke-screen to obscure the grand theft transpiring.
Stop Rural Cleansing!

Thank you, my FRiend...there are Forces within the Federal Leviathan who will attempt to use the War on Terrorism to further empower the Fed and disempower States, Localities, and Individuals. We on the frontline of the Homeland Security battlelines must fight those Evil Leftist Forces with all our Might!!

Yeah we sure are on the frontlines. It's just a matter of time before we'll have to take our positions to defend this homeland of ours. We need to get out of the U.N. for sure!

"We need to get out of the U.N. for sure!" I most certainly agree...MUD

Is your name really Chenowith??? Puuuuuhleeeez?? It's this kind of ignorance that really gives those of a Conservative bent a bad rap with those who identify with "things natural".
While I'm not proposing that Coho salmon are endangered, *I'm not an aquatic biologist* (and honestly, do you really think a farm raised fish is the same as one "in the wild"?) the mere fact that you could make such a flippant statement just points to fact that you have no idea what we are trying to achieve.
I will admit that the petition was very well written and thought out, however, it erroneously elevates the idea that man has penultimate rights to natural resources...fish be damned!
Coho decline
To: Dipodomys
You have no idea what you are talking about and I didn't write the petition. Tell me the genetic difference between a hatchery coho and a wild one. I suppose you think a test tube baby is NOT human either. I suggest you get real and do some work on this. Your ignorance is dangerous and if I have time, I'll read your link.

Excuse me, the delisting is not based on farmed fish. Judge Hogarth's decision states that there is no genetic difference between in-stream bread fish and
hatchery fish in the same rivers. Not only are they genetically identical, they are nearly behaviorially identical after but three generations.
At least make an attempt to understand the bogus argument of the listing advocates before you cite it.
What happens when one stops breeding fish that aren't native? They go away. That is what happened here. They listed the fish contrary to gentetic evidence, morphological evidence, physiological evidence, climatological evidence, and archeological evidence. Not only that, but the prescriptive measures NMFS advocated were destructive to the fish and did nothing about documented causes of decline directly under their control.
You be the fish would be better off as private property.
To: Carry_Okie
Excuse me:
You bet the fish would be better off as private property.

I guess we could call this Dipodomys' symptom of LaTourette's syndrome.

Hi again...I *know* you didn't write the petition (I only said that it was well written from the POV of the writer) ...and as for the genetic differences between native and hatchery raised fish? As I said, I'm not an aquatic biologist and I don't know if there *are* any differences (I'd suspect there are though, genetic processes are only able to fully express themselves in nature, not hatcheries) Sorry I didn't elaborate on my position, but it's my belief that we are treading dangerous ground when we justify the loss of native species by supplanting "wild" stock with "hatchery" fish. It's an opiate which allows man to deplete natural resources with little or no regard for the intrinsic value of nature as a whole IMHO. As to the link? You'll only have the time if you make the time...
