The great tragedy of African-Americans is the road not taken. Booker T Washington had the right formula. Had his prescription been taken seriously and widely implemented, then how very, very different things would be today!

Very good article. I'll comment that the DuBois faction has won,probably because it's easier to influence 51 senators and 218 representatives(not only easier,but faster),than it is to change the habits of a whole group of people. Unfortunately,the same principle applies to every cause that's subject to public discourse-and that's all of them,so we have the likes of NOW,PETA,and every other batch of loons working hard to find those 269 weak links.

Great article. The author touches on the reasons for the West's dynamism but didn't go deep enough; ie "a dynamism driven by a combination of Western philosophy and theology." What he is referring to is the Christian Reformation initiated by Martin Luther - the flowering of the west can be traced back to this movement.

Just a factoid on this topic, I have been seeing a lot of Proud to be an American decals on cars. The interesting thing is they are all on Hispanic driven cars, I cannot find the decal anywhere, but on their cars.
