Would like to relate a short conversation I was in at the local Wally World this morning:
I had stopped in for a case of oil for the cars and went by sporting goods to see what the prices were like on 9mm and .45 ammunition. The clerk was engaged in conversation with a woman of about 45 or so. The customer was asking the clerk what type of information she could get on the sale of firearms. She was specifically asking for information on automatic weapons. The clerk was explaining they did not sell automatic weapons, only semi-automatic. The customer then went on to tell everyone within range that if it wasn't for all the guns in the country the terrorist acts of Sept 11 would never have happened.
There were two other customers there besides myself listening, an Amish man who simply walked away, and a man dressed in camo who moved over by me as soon as I started asking if she had ever heard of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. She gave me a smart alec reply that "of course" but then I asked if she had ever bothered to read it. She replied that it was no longer pertinent to the way of life in the United States. I told her that if it wasn't for that document she wouldn't have the freedoms she was exercising. No reply.
She then left just as one of the assistant managers arrived on the scene. My hat is off to the local Wal Mart store for the way their clerk and manager handled the disturbance.
Guess I have to go back tomorrow and check the prices as I was so ticked off I didn't even bother to look.

How did you handle it without going off on them PMFJI, but I usually say to myself in amazement, "To think, that was the fastest sperm of the bunch!" Then, I say a little prayer to God, thanking him for not making it worse than it already is. A great portion of this world is "eaten up with the dumba55" just to make it interesting and challenging for the rest of us.

The press thinks that all weapons besides black powder and bolt action are "automatic" people need to be educated as to the difference between automatic and semi automatic. I have never seen automatic weapons for sale in walmart or anywhere else for that matter.

Keep a few copies of pictures like this in your wallet. Hand it to the witch and say:
"the worst mass murderers in US history went into a guaranteed 'gun free zone' and did this with boxcutters.
Do you really think we should all be as disarmed as the passengers on those planes?"

Depending on her looks, I might have said "Your right honey you don't need any self protection. No rapist in his right mind would want you! what,to harsh???"Yes, way too harsh. Rape is not about attractiveness on the part of the victim. I overhead a clerk at a local gun store make this joke once, and even though they have the best selection, I won't even go in there anymore (much less buy anything from them). Don't ever say that to any woman.
On a related note, I'd like to thank the poster of this article.. for his standing up, and for his not shopping at Kmart. :-)

I'd have been very tempted to buy up all the ammo I could afford (provided it was decent stuff and reasonably priced) just to see the look on this woman's face when I walked out with a case or two of ammo.

That happened in Kentucky? Hmmmm, I just don't see something like that happening down here in Southwest KY. Guns are just a part of life down here. That nutjob you ran into probably just forgot to take her meds. LOL

Na, just one box of somthing you need will do. Just be sure she hears you say loud and clear "I like the sound of the THUMP when these hit!" and try not to laugh when she goes off like a henhouse with two foxes inside.

Some of the people in the towers said that the building really swayed when the planes hit, I kept looking at the video and could not see the building budge when the plane hit, I was sort of amazed at the time. But in this photo if you look at the first building you can really see the bend in it, follow the contour of the building from the bottom of the building to the top and you will notice it.

Husker24: Yeah you're right, sorry. Mdittmar, it's not a lecture -- you asked if you were too harsh. Since rape is not about sex, but about control, I answered your question.
*shrug*
To: americalost
The question was retorical.
