Well, the Red Cross is announcing they will take no more donations for the grieving families of the terror attacks, saying they have enough money.

Later on the show, O'Reilly argued with Arthel Neville about this issue (she of course wanted to give the celebrities a pass).
Most celebrities hire public-relations people to get them good publicity. These people are usually dripping in arrogance, full of self-importance and condescension. Their job is to control the press and get favorable publicity for the stars.
(SNIP)
We are still talking with some celebrities, and we hope a few of them will step up, but the majority of these people are phonies, much more interested in their own images than solving any social problems.
O'Reilly nails these phonies, big time!

Just as good money drives out bad money, a worthwhile charity would highlight the moral bankruptcy of the current crop of "charities,"
OK, the liberal celebs have always been cowards, but we have FOX News, why not FOX (read conservative or fair and balanced) movies? How about conservative charities? Charities that don't do bait and switch. Charities that are honest. One can dream...

I'm having a little trouble taking O'Reilly's claims seriously -- he's a self-promoter too.

And now for the payoff. Thanks to Bill O'Reilly, these people now get $200,000 worth of BAD PUBLICITY. Way to go, Bill. Keep up the good work.

These celebs are shameless and it is obvious to anyone who had a clear mind that they are only interested in how much publicity they can get. I was hoping that Tom Hanks would be a little different but it appears he is just as bad as the rest.
How much effort would it take for the celebs to make a phone call to the Red Cross and or make a statement on TV that might make the RC think a little bit about future contributions and getting help to the needy?
I am so disgusted that I am thinking about getting rid of HBO, STARZ, etc. I don't even want to watch their movies anymore. Can't get rid of DirecTV because I wouldn't be able to get FOX NEWS.

Later on the show, O'Reilly argued with Arthel NevilleThat's putting it mildly. I saw that too. Had they been in the studio together it would've been even more intense. Me thinks Arthel has been hanging out with some of those celebs.

From her viewpoint, challenging these phony superstars would cause her to lose access with these superstars. In my opinion, she's probably more worried about her job security.
Clint Eastwood on The O'Reilly Factor tonight to talk about this.
James Brown and Goldie Hawn may be on next Tuesday.
