[history]
Mayor Richard M. Daley on Wednesday used the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks as justification to press for more restrictive Illinois gun laws and a state crackdown on people who make unfounded terrorist threats.
Daley announced the proposals after a City Council meeting in which he introduced the first proposed land acquisition for O'Hare International Airport expansion. At the meeting, aldermen unanimously approved a crackdown on city dog owners and new evacuation-plan requirements for Chicago's high-rise buildings.

"...prohibit the sale of several types of semiautomatic military-style weapons to ordinary citizens." Just what is an ordinary citizen?

"...prohibit the sale of several types of semiautomatic military-style weapons to ordinary citizens." Just what is an ordinary citizen? Very good question. And here's another one:
Mr. Daley, just WHAT did guns have to do with 9/11?

"...Richard M. Daley..." Walking proof (if any was needed) that the apple never falls very far from the tree.
As for his illegal edicts,
One option would be to simply ignore them.

Just what is an ordinary citizen? Anyone who isn't:
- A wise guy ripping off the city
- A Daley stooge
- An alderman
- A contractor bilking the city out of millions
- A patronage pal of any of the above
HTH

"Ordinary citizen" is anybody who is not employed as security in my office. Signed, Daley

That's about it, yeah.

Ship Daley off to Afghanistan. They like gun control for "ordinary citizens" over there.

prohibit the sale of several types of semiautomatic military-style weapons What do you suppose he could be referring to? Something like, say, my 1911?
To: SJackson
How about a crack-down on traitorous anti-Constitutional politicians?
The laws are already passed, just a matter of getting them enforced:

So founded terrorists threats are OK?, just not unfounded ones?

...prohibit.... to ordinary citizens.
They are non-celebraty and non-democratic party leadership people, that who ordinary citizens are. Actually, I am sure that the law will allow military, police, and retired police plus people who are approved by the chief of police.
City attorneys are drafting legislation to require background checks on those who buy weapons at gun shows and to prohibit the sale of several types of semiautomatic military-style weapons to ordinary citizens. The legislation also would require that some types of military-style guns be registered with the state.
I honestly don't understand the Democrat's fasination with gun shows and with guns that "look bad." The democratic party is going to kill it self over gun control and that is just fine by me. It would be nice to see a Republican mayor in Chicago. Maybe that would keep the dead from voting as often as they do in Chicago.

Very good question. And here's another one:
Mr. Daley, just WHAT did guns have to do with 9/11?A: The lack of an armed citezenry enabled the terrorists to kill 5,000 of our countrymen.

Well, Daley's a fat little socialist Troll, what more would you expect. The guy is so stupid it amazes me every time he completes a sentance on TV, and when he doesn't, he turns RED as a fat little Tomato, begins to get frustrated, and then starts making all these angry whining sounds, and by that time, I'm laughing so hard I can't see straight.
What a blob.
Who else would you expect a city full of unworking "gimmie another freebie handout" schmucks to elect anyway?
