No, not necessarily. And in fact, that's the whole point about what we're seeing now. Anthrax may not be coming from the Arab world. It's been coming from our world right here, from people who look more like Ann than a brother.

For one thing, that's pure speculation. For another thing, so far three people have died of anthrax. I mean, more people have died in car accidents than -- whereas, it was right. It was muslims. It was Arabs. It was people who looked like this guy buying candy at Costco.

What you just said in fact is not true. Arabs support ethnic profiling more than white people do. Blacks support ethnic profiling right now more than white people do. It's like 54% of white people, 71% of Arabs support ethnic profiling. No, I'm sorry. I'm with the Arabs on this.

You can't defend against some random Timothy McVeigh or Ted Bundy. Yes, there are other people who commit crimes.
Ann:
Wait a second. But the particular war we are in right now, the modus operandi of the enemy is to immigrate here, live peacefully, not break the law, and one day wake up and slaughter thousands of Americans. That is the modus operandi. We are supposed to be on alert.
Ann:
You're talking about this like this guy was tortured or held. All that happened was they questioned him. All they did was question him, and they found out that's false. They found out, as you were saying, that he was a wholesaler, which explains the question, "Why were you buying $7,000 worth of candy?"
Ann:
It has to be overbroad. If we can compare this to the Japanese interment, for one thing, we were not being attacked from Japanese living in California. We were being attacked by the country of Japan. This time we are being attacked by people who are here legally. They are within our country.
Ann:
No, and they're more enthusiastic about ethnic profiling than white people are. White people have been so beaten down by political correctness. And blacks support it more than white people.
Michael:
Here's my point. Here's the response to that. Acting like a human being. See, this is the kind of prepossession that's so problematic. The point is the argument being when they get up in the morning and look at themselves in the mirror, they don't have to prove anything. Why do they have to prove anything now? I understand that in the climate in which we live, which is hyperactive in terms of patriotism, that we have to be careful about protecting the very goals for which we're fighting. What are we fighting for, after all, if at the end of the day, we don't --

Some of it didn't seem to make sense, though.
Rush had a black guy on the show the other day who said pretty much the same thing: He supported profiling against Arabs, but not blacks. Go figure...
