Nothing lasts forever....not even the length of time one can be held in jail without being properly arraigned. Mr. Northcut was held until his arraignment at which time the judge released him for time spent. Since Mr. Northcut is not the type of person who panhandles of asks for handouts, it is quite possible that he refused to be bailed out by his friend. Lighten up, Jihad.

As I ponder my little run in with NAMMRAINE and Cultural Jihad
I wonder what their motives were?
Did they actually offer any solution to the problem Mr. Northcut and TJ were enduring?
Did they say anything that would ensure their freedom?
Nope they were Cynics!
and Cynics have no stomach for elephant!
Problems in our society are not cured by Cynics,
Oh they may throw money at the problem, But they don't get to the meat of the matter!
I believe that Mr. Northcut and TJ were removed from this Memorial so that the city could have a "trouble free" Veteran's Day!
The sign may have read "No Tresspassing"!
But what it meant was "No Dogs or Soldiers on the Grass!"

Well, it is because of you folks that this has happened.

Just when the road seems too long, friends and inspiration happen....

Thanks, B4Ranch and all.

How about contacting the DAV so they can write up a story about this in their next edition? Plus, I did track down some info about Northcut just to satisfy myself about him. I found out where and when he was born and something about his family. This information is something that I think should not be published on a chat board because it infringes on his right to privacy (in my opinion), plus it is nothing that can possibly help him because he certainly knows where and when he was born! lol. He is legit from what I have seen so far.

Northcut was in the USN stationed in South Viet Nam. He was a 'river rat' and was injured over in Cambodia. There was 13 men in the boat when the boat exploded from enemy fire. Apparently some men were killed and a few were injured. He was sent to a hospital in Australia to recover.

I've never heard of a US serviceman being sent to a hospital in Australia from RVN. Was it very common?

When the capacity of the hospitals in Japan shrunk, Australia was a frequently used option.

Thank you for taking up the cause of this hero. Is there any sort of fund established? I'm sure many FReepers would contribute.
