Calculate the sq kilos of Turkish occupied Northern Cyprus divided by the number of Turkish troops and police and see how small it is. In addition Sudanese "tourists" are a rare sight in Northern Cyprus. The Sudanese Arabs would have stood out like a sore thumb, and just how do you smuggle radioactive material to a heavily militarized island and not be noticed?

Sure they would have been seen. They had visas and everything. But they could have lied about their purpose and then gone down to the bazaar to play tourist amongst the merchandise and get a cup of coffee. How they got the material in and or out is something smugglers have been practicing in the region since the time of the pharoahs.
