"Three shots of Cuban coffee, and you'll be ready to go dig bin Laden out of his cave bare-handed." YEARS ago, my friend Joaquin had me taste a little cup his mom made for his dad, Dr. Labarga...
CRAKCASE OIL!!!!!
Why, three shots, and I'd run over there ALL THE WAY!
Ha!
If I remember, it was like Expresso of EXPRESSO!
Wow!
As far as meeting you for lunch, I would consider it MY honor!
The next time I'm in Florida, LET'S DO IT! :)

Each time I read something you have written, I am reminded once again, that there is no better Americans than first generation Americans. They have not lost their passion for freedom. They can still hear the voices of tyranny, smell the aroma of death and see that America is truly the land of the free.
God bless you my friend. Viva los Nuevo Americanos. (forgive my spelling.)

Norb, Thanks for forwarding this great piece to me. I received it as I would a great gift and I read it with great pride; As I too have experienced first hand many rallies here in South Florida over the last 31 years since my parents fled the Communist state 90 miles south of us (with my brothers and I in tow). I too am a proud American and would stand up for it under any circumstances. But I must add a special thanks to you for being such a great American, for being a career Marine, and for being such a great friend of the Cuban-American community and for truly understanding what we stand for and what we have gone through. It comes through constantly in your writings and in the times we have spoken in person and on the phone. Thanks again, you are a great human being. To Luis: my words are not enough to say how poetic your writing is and how well it reflects on your life experiences. I enjoyed reading your article immensely. I printed it out and will be passing out copies to my friends and family members. Great job!!! Best regards to all. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Lorenzo Mendez

Your names somehow are not on my flag list. Here's a special heads-up for some good friends.

In MY day, the EGHS football team was so bad, the Marching Band played them, and damned near won!

Of course the media will never report such a patriotic march like this one. As long as that Patriotic Bill exists, freedom of the press is one-sided and that also pertains to our Contitution.
To: Luis Gonzalez
Beautiful post Luis. Don't ever stop sharing your wonderful gift.

Raul!
I am enjoying your website tremendously, thank you for the link. I'm finding more and more voices out there, like yours, talking about the Cuban experience, it's great to read your work and nod my head, knowing the feelings that you talk about.
Welcome to FReeRepublic, I hope this place becomes a home of sorts for you, as it did me.
Norb, I've said it before, and I will say it again, youare awesome.

"Of course the media will never report such a patriotic march like this one." Maybe we need to alert those Media folks who might be supportive of our Cause...feel free to add to this list in subsequent posts.
Once again, put "Dear Media" in the TO ADDRESS field, have it routed to yourself in your address book for a file copy. Then paste the following list into the BCC ADDRESS field and each recipient will be unaware that you have blanketed them all.
rush@eibnet.com; speaker@aim.org; takeaction@americasvoice.com; pat@theamericancause.org; cbnonline@cbn.org; viewer@c-span.org; cato@free-market.net; drudge@drudgereport.com; comment@foxnews.com; letter@globe.com; insight@wt.infi.net; jwatch@erols.com; imus@msnbc.com; hq@lp.org; marklevin@aol.com; jacolumn@toto.net; feedback@usatoday.com; editor@dolphin.gulf.net
That's just a start, and we'll compile any other media emails as you make them available to this thread.

So y'all will know.. In Birmingham,Alabama, there exists a modest little Aviation musuem near the Airport. On a wall there is a memorial to the Alabama Air National Guardsmen who gave the last full measure of devotion in the Bay of Pigs operation as well. I feel anger each time I think of JFK and his rat faced brother turning the white feather over an operation they condoned;then condemned. This disaster set the tone for our nation's wilderness years.
Luis, my friend, gracias. I'll stand with you, physically and emotionally, anywhere , anytime, anyplace.
To: Luis Gonzalez
Excellent, Luis. Thanks for the ping.
We aren't just walking on Freedom Road, though.
We're building it.
