To realize how bad an idea it is; make believe there is no Geo Bush and the President is Bill Clinton and he invites Muslims to do this in the White House.

OK, I’ve done that and concluded the following; It’s a matter of motives. If it were Klynton, I would be suspicious and agree with you that it is a bad idea. However, W has the good of the country at heart. He knows bin Laden tried to convince the Muslim world that America is its enemy. It is up to our leader, GeorgeW. Bush to demonstrate that that is a lie. No one can do it better than he can.

All the more reason to be proud of him for showing the world that unlike these nations, U.S. practices the tolerance and freedom of religion it promises to all who come here.

Unfortunately some on this board seem to want us to become an intolerant dictatorial religious theocracy, just like the Muslim nations they condemn. This is of course hypocrisy. Bush is bigger than that.

Islam and democracy dont mix. The Koran doesnt mix with anything. In Iran every week millions in the mosques yell death to America.

In Iran, where they have been under fundamentalist Islamic Gov't for many years...they are now having problems with repeated pro-American, pro-western demonstrations on a large scale.

Man, oh man! They won't invite Pastor Joe to the Kansas State Legistature again!
They invited Pastor Joe Wright of Wichita's Central Christian Church to deliver the invocation -and he told God on them!
Now, God knows what they've been up to!
No sooner had their guest chaplain concluded his prayer than three Democrats on the state legislature were on their feet at microphoned protesting, "He can't talk like that about us!" Rep. Delbert Gross considered the invocation gross, calling it, "divisive, sanctimonious" and "overbearing."
Rep. David Haley called it "blasphemous and ignorant."
Rep. Sabrina Standifer echoed the indignation.
What in the world did Pastor Joe say in Topeka that incited the righteous wrath of three Democrats from Hays and Kansas City?

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance.
