Suspicious Substance Dropped By Air on Clarksville

Breaking News: Substance Dropped on Clarksville

Clarksville officials are investigating a white powdery substance allegedly dropped from airplanes in two subdivisions in the northern part of the city Thursday night.

Officials have been able to rull out anthrax. They have also found out that the substance was not biological or chemical in nature.

Hundreds of residents in two North Clarksville subdivisions, Northwind and Northpark, were told to stay in their homes until the suspicious substance could be identified.

Hundreds of people in 180 homes were told to stay in their homes until officials could find out what the substance was. They were also told to turn off their heating and cooling systems.

101st Airborne Parkway in Clarksville was shutdown at 9pm. The area is a couple of miles from the Fort Campbell military base.

The Red Cross set up shop in an elementary school nearby to aid with residents who were unable to get to their homes.

Was this sort of thing happening prior to 9/11 or is it a new occurrence? Back in the good ol' days of ignorance and bliss I don't recall hearing of any instances of the "spraying" of an elementary school, boats on rivers, suburban neighborhoods, and places with nary a crop in sight. I can't imagine sane people playing an elaborate prank of this nature on folks, so it has to be SOMETHING. (From some of the reading I've done, weaponized smallpox is powdered, and the Russians liked to keep about 20 tons of it on hand. Who knows how much Saddam has in his inventory.) Have there been any reports whatsoever following up on some of the earlier recipients of such a powder drop, just to see if any of them are exhibiting strange symptoms? Inquiring minds want to know. (Keep us posted! Those two missing private planes were from Tennessee!)

Don't worry about it folks, this happens all the time.
Tail sections fall of the sky in NYC, that's normal, people drop white stuff of the planes.

It must be snow, everyone go back to sleep, everything is fine.

Actually this was dropped right on the border of KY and TN .

What's also interesting is that while this happened around 11 PM last night, when I went to all the TV stations in Nashville, TN, only one other station even had a story on it. Not even an update that people could come out of their homes (or return). Strange ....

Morning reports suggest it is ash from some controlled burning in the area. More updates coming on morning news.

Clarksville is in Tennessee! It's in NW Tennessee, near the Land Between the Lakes.

Fort Campbell's official address is KY, because that's where the main gate is. But 80-90% of the base is in Tennessee.

With all the forest fires in the area, wouldn't it make sense that there is a lot of ash in the air?

One local station is reporting the ash, but other station says planes did show up on radar. Report says the FBI is taking this very seriously and I caught something about full criminal prosecution if caught. Interesting.

If its ash floating in from a fire, what would the FBI be thinking of prosecuting the pilots of the planes for? Keep us informed.

My mistake, I should have said Tn on the border of KY where 1/4 of the base is.
Anyways, I bet this was meant for the base, but they couldn't get close to the base, so dumped it in Clarksville .
