Not a firing squad. Not even close. After my dad retired he worked part time in a hotel 'corner store' which sold magazines, (decent ones in those days) and things a traveler would want- small town here- and mainly a liquer store. That was where I first became aware of 2 dollar bills. Alot of booze w as bought with the presumably purloined 2 dollar bill and silver dollars, which were around but not common in this area.

The last time I saw a two dollar bill was as a kid. It was a crisp new one that had never been used and was obtained as a collector's item. I haven't seen one since.
