I don't gamble. Yes, Jefferson was on the two dollar bill. I remember having one as a kid. It was a special release and was a collector's item. I haven't seen one in years, certainly not in circulation.

I think it was an attempt to "modernize" our currency along with the Susan Anthony dollar coin; but merchants' cash drawers had no spaces for either so both were tossed underneath and returned to the banks. I tried to put a lot in circulation when they were released and the stores all did the same "quick look and shuffle".
