This from the Middleton Connecticut Press. Derby is about ten miles from Oxford. Omerovic appears to be a Bosnian Muslim name:

The news comes a week after a Derby man was arrested on charges that he sent letters threatening anthrax exposure to several state and federal offices.

Amir Omerovic, 27, is charged with sending letters to the governor's office, the Judicial Review Council and U.S. Coast Guard offices in Hartford, and to a U.S. Marine Corps office in Danbury.

The FBI said at the time that there was no evidence Omerovic had access to anthrax. The letters did not contain any white powders or other suspicious substance.

Yes, it can be the middle eastern crowd.

Look at the list....Leahy, Kennedy, Dodd, Daschel, NBC

I can't figure out the NY Post or the Sun, however.

And, I suppose, Hillary would be at the top of a RW fanactic's list - but not a pro-Palestinian's list. So, maybe you're right.

Maybe there's a tiny bit floating through the mail system, and some people are hyper-sensitive.

What we don't know - is how accurate the anthrax detection tests are. They can be reporting negative - because the spores are below detection limits or they're looking in the wrong spot.

It's a d*mn good thing then that people in America did not do any yard work or gardening during the twentieth century. Otherwise we might have had more than the 18 cases of inhalation anthrax that we had during that entire century in the USA.

And how many cases of inhalation anthrax did your psychic advisor tell you that we missed detecting during the twentieth century?

This is what happened to us a few days ago...

We were straightening up for Thanksgiving and my husband was in our living room, which is a room we barely use. We sometimes put mail in there. Anyway, he was sorting the mail and carrying some of it to the trashcan in our kitchen. Sometime later, we noticed white powder on a piece of furniture that was between the two rooms. We looked at each other and chuckled. We are not famous, nor are we democrats, so there is virtually no chance someone would deliberately send us Anthrax. I smelled the powder and it smelled like baby powder.

We didn't panic because getting Anthrax specifically sent to you is highly unlikely for anyone, especially someone who is not a high profile person. Second, if we were to somehow get Anthrax, we would not have seen any powder, because it would have come from the residue of another piece of mail. Third, Anthrax powder is brownish, and this was pure white. Fourth, it is probably unlikely that Anthrax smells like baby powder. :) It was hours later when I recalled seeing a small container of baby powder in a nearby drawer.

Two suggestions:

1.) Learn the difference between cutaneous and inhalation anthrax.

2.) Read post #174 by DrJoe, a northeastern pathologist.

"Medical supplies. You heard it here first."

Look, I don't have a tin-foil attitude, but a strange thing happened to me last evening. I called my local Wal-Mart pharmacist (Neighborhood Market) to refill a prescription. It is a common drug for women to take. The pharmacist told me that particular drug isn't in stock, but she would try and find it for me. THEN she went on to say "we have been having trouble getting ALOT of prescription drugs lately".. I asked her "Why"? She said "I really don't have any idea why we aren't getting them"...

I'll know today if I can get my prescription refilled. Go figure.

Where I got the Wallingford info from, was from that Video, JIHAD IN AMERICA. They showed a gun range where many Arab types were shooting about 1000 rounds every weekend, and I recognized it. It was the range where me and some of my former co-workers go sometimes. It is also owned by a present Freepers Cousin or brother in law. In fact, soon, there may be a showing of that Video of Jihad in America there on some friday night!

The good doctor hastens to reply that most of his professional life has been spent in Leesburg, Va - a concrete jungle in Loudoun County Va - ca 15000-20000 town population [over the years] and while the vets are aware of the potential hazard the incidence rate of human inhalational anthrax is, as said before, ZERO. And yes we are aware of it [Ft. Detrick is some thirty miles north of here in Frederick Md] but we don't see it 'cause it's not there . Until now.
