Cheese in 18 States Recalled on Salmonella Concern
MINEOLA, N.Y. (Reuters) - Pollio Italian Cheese Co. on Friday recalled 6,600 cases of ricotta cheese it distributed to grocery stores and foodservice companies in 18 U.S. states after a sample tested positive for Salmonella bacteria. Mineola, N.Y.-based Pollio said no illnesses have been reported in connection with the products, and that it is investigating the contamination.

Not to change the subject, but when I flew back from NYC yesterday through Newark, the guards at the security checkpoint confiscated a round of New Jersey Cheddar cheese that I had in a backpack.
They said it was 'too sharp'.
