It really makes me sad and angry that we don't have Barbara Olson to add her thoughts about the scumbag to the fray anymore.

Especially when we learned Barbara Olson was beginning to work on the Condit mess prior to 9/11.

In a weird way, I am glad Condit is running. It will be good for him to stay in the headlines as much as possible. Think the DC police will do anything if he slinks into retirement in Ceres?

The story has died for now, but this war in Afghanistan will in a few months not be the only thing that is being reported on the news.

I like the saying that one should keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer. Condit running for re-election has to campaign, meet crowds, in other words, he can be freeped.

He will probably wait until say February to start actively campaigning, thinking everybody will have forgotten, but we have not forgotten. I am sure there will be active heckling, questioning going on everywhere he campaigns. If he doesn't run for re-election, he will just play the clock out and hide from the people, the media, until Jan 2003.

Anne Michael, a recent University of the Pacific graduate who is registered to vote in Stockton, said she signed the petition earlier this month outside a north Stockton movie theater.

Michael said the people who asked her to sign the petition said that it called for waiving candidate filing fees to run for office.

This sounds like fraud to me. Do the laws in California alow outside people to see the names on the petition? If so, could people contact the signers and tell them to contact the election offices if they don't support Condit. I'm sure that enough people will withdraw their signitures to bring the total below 3000.
