"Your logic is similar to the guy saying that the Holocaust was OK"

No, Andy, you're wrong. You said the difference between Muslims and Christians was that Muslims kill and Christians don't.

And then, unable to support your argument in any sensible way, you brought in the millions killed by Stalin and Mao to prove your point. Neither Stalin nor Mao was Muslim, and so they have nothing to do with our discussion.

Also, I never said any killing was OK, so your reference to the Holocaust is also from left field, not relating in any way to our discussion.

You were wrong. Admit it and give it up.

"Do you consider W to be a Christian?"

Yes, I do. And a great leader.

Pogroms, don't forget the pogroms! Certainly millions killed over the centuries in pogroms. Also how about the battles between Catholics and Serbs in the Balkans. Let's put those on the list.

My mom and dad couldn't stand the Beatles back in "those days" ... thought I was going to hell in a handbasket by listening to those shaggy foreign creatures ... but when I told my mom the other day that George had terminal cancer, she was greatly saddened. I wonder if it's because ... let me see if I can put it the right way ... if our moms and dads back in those days could've looked nearly four decades down the road and saw the cesspool that much of our popular music in 2001 is, and looked at the Beatles and saw how relatively tame and conservative (and I don't mean politically) they actually were compared to that, they might have encouraged us instead of discouraged us from being Beatle fans.

This post makes me sick! I am a VERY CONSERVATIVE "fundie" and I would not dream of making such a sick statement about another person's death...please people, not all Christians think like this! I have often prayed for George,as he was "my Beatle" growing up...and I am very sad today...I hope in his death he found true peace--no one knows that but GOD.

Penny Lane was one of Paul's. It's a real street in Liverpool. I've been there -- the banker, the barber, it's all there. The roundabout where the nurse thought she was in a play has been replaced by a restaurant, though.

Strawberry Fields was the song John wrote about his boyhood Liverpool rememberances. Well, sort of, in a psychedelic way.

It does'nt take long for a vulture to appear once the body is cold. Do you enjoy feasting on the entrails of dead celebrities reputations?

Since you joined FR two months ago you have posted 30 articles with replying to one comment or question. This post makes it #31.

You have no decency and are a troll. Get your jollies somewhere else and go back under the rock you came from.

Please Go.

No, it's Paul's. The easiest way to tell which Beatle wrote a song is by who's singing it, except for Ringo, who wrote a few but mostly sang songs John and Paul wrote for him.

from the Penny Lane website... (i knew John had something to do with Penny Lane--i saw it in a biography :-) George Martin has said that "Penny Lane and Strawberry FieldsForever was the best record ever made." AlthoughPenny Lane did not contain the psychic strains that Strawberry Fields Forever had, it was just as imaginative. This istruly the one record, in that these two songs were the A and B sides, that shows the brilliant talents of Lennon andMcCartney. Penny Lane is an actual street in Liverpool, but it also is the name of the area that surrounds it'sjunction with Smithtown Road. Although it's merely a nondescript shopping area, John and Paul grew up here andspent many years in the neighborhood. In this song by Paul, it symbolizes the childhood innocence of days gone by,when everyone was friendly. John Lennon first thought of Penny Lane and was the first to refer to it in a song with"In My Life," but it was McCartney that made it work as a song of its own.

David Cloud is one of those false prophets that the apostle Paul wrote about: the kind who plays to itching ears, to people who want to be told that it's good to hate another person.

Cloud is a hypocrite, a false teacher, a self-righteous dolt and otherwise just a very evil man.

Amen. I also thought that here in America we had a freedom to worship as we see fit, or is it only as dtom and other hypocrites see fit?

Yeah, but at least Bert would try to defend himself.

My Sweet Lord

I'm Not Ashamed To Tell The World
Just What You Mean To Me
In Fact I Say With Pride
Chills Run Down My Spine
At The Mention Of Your Name...

My Sweet Lord The Goodness In Your Heart
Melts Mine Each And Every Day
Don't Ever Leave Me
Always Show Me The Path
And I'll Do What Ever It Takes
To Have You Always By My Side...

I Look Around Each Day What A Beautiful World You Created
Oh, There Is Sadness Among Many
Sometimes I Just Sit And Cry
Thinking Of Those With Heartache
But Lord They Know As I Do
You're Always There
No Matter What There Is To Face...

My Love For You Is Unconditional
Yet Sometimes I Too Ask Why
Please Forgive Me
It Doesn't Take Away What I Feel
My Love For You Is Genuine
It's Just Things At Times Get Hard
But I Know You Understand This
And You Love Me Just The Same...

Faith Is What Gets Me Though
At Times I Thought I'd Never Make It
Than I Found The Strength
Coming From Within You
You Had Sent My Way...

I'll Do My Best To Make You Proud
Shine Down On Me From Heaven
And When My Day Comes
Have A Place For Me
Right Where I've Always Been
Beside You
Putting No One Above You...

My Sweet Lord
With All My Heart I Love You
And I Couldn't Imagine
One Day Without You
Nor Would I Ever Want That
Or Allow This To Happen
Because Your Love So Pure
Will See Me Though Each Day!
